Clos du Cotnarian
Clos du Cotnarian is located in Cotnari, in the northeastern part of Romania. The region has a long tradition of winemaking and is about an hour’s drive from Iași, close to the Moldavian border. Clos du Cotnarian follows many of the historical traditions of wine making from the region, including ploughing with horses, harvesting by hand and producing wines from the region’s historical grapes. The vineyard exclusively produces top-quality white wines.
The appellation belongs to Cotnari, Romania, and the vineyard is proud to be reintroducing “Wines of the Voivode,” using the grape varieties Grasa, Francusa, Tamaioasa, and Feteasca.
